I grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. participated in a variety of sports growing up, but found my true passion in strength training and conditioning needed to enhance sports
performance. i have over 10 years of experience working with general population clients, weightlifters and athletes - from amateur all the way up to the collegiate & olympic level. i've also worked as a Lecturer at University of Wisconsin – La Crosse for five years, teaching the fundamentals of strength & conditioning.

SPORTS PERFORMANCE

 

designed for a wide range of athletes, focused on helping get an edge on opponents and closer achievement of athletic goals. The approach I use is highly individualized - based on the age, developmental level, experience, and sport demands of each athlete who commits to the program. programming is evidence-based off-season progression that addresses all aspects of development to enhance your athletic performance. each program is focused on injury prevention, movement development, and performance improvements.

Assessment & Programming

Each athlete undergoes an extensive assessment to identify strength and mobility imbalances, various performance (strength, power, speed) tests, body composition, and possible injury prevention strategies. Methodical progressions are then designed specific to the athlete's sport (and position), as well as, the athlete's imbalances and deficiencies found during the assessment. The training programs are usually altered every 2 to 4 weeks, based on demonstrated progress and long-term goals. Program is structured for athletes to peak at the start of in-season competition.

For lifters who wish to have personalized programming or need modifications tailored, look no further. My weightlifting programs can be designed for each level of Olympic weightlifting athlete, whether you are picking up the barbell for the first time or preparing for a National meet. programming is designed to make you more explosive, stronger, flexible, awesome, confident, faster, and create jealousness.

whether your goals are aesthetic or athletic, i'll keep you on track, motivated and accountable in order to reach them. 

If you have any specific health conditions or injuries (chronic or acute), we will work with you and your doctor/physical therapist to plan the most appropriate training programs for your needs.

prior to beginning your first workout, I'll have you complete a 30-60 minute assessment containing: health questionnaire, lifestyle assessment, body composition, and movement screening. This is the first crucial step in developing a safe and effective program for you.
